Long March Purpose and Consequences
Imran Bukhari |
Dr Tahirul Qadri, Qaid e
tehrik Minhajul Quraan decided to start the long march on Sunday from Lahore (13th
January, 2013) against the sitting government. Dr Tahirul Qadri's long march
purpose that the care taker government should follow the constituent. He cautioned
the government if they would not fulfill the requirements of constituent we
will come to Islamabad with four million people against the government.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek also decided that the situation may go out of control if
the government may tried to create the hurdles against long march. Muttahida
Qaumi Movment (MQM) Chief Mr Altaf Hussain however now decided not to join the
PAT in long march to refrain from any terrorist activity.
Mr. Rehman Malik comes to
media with these words we are not against the long march and he demand the Rs.
250 million for security purpose to the government but on
other side the government has begun sealing the red zone for three days (that could
be Saturday, Sunday and Monday) and placed containers at all entrance of
Islamabad.
If we analyze this through
cost and benefit analysis:
Security
Expenses: 250 Million
Expenses
of long march: 500 Million
Leaves
effect on Businesses: 1,000 Million
Economic
Effect: 500 Million
Total 2,250 Million
These are minimum expenses of
a long march and benefit only for two month if the demands have to accept.
The expectations are: what
would be happen?
I) Chances that the long march would not be reached in Islamabad the situation may change and demands can
be accepted.
II) The more probable that army and agencies wants to change and
they are using the Dr Tahirul Qadri shoulder if the long march reached in
Islamabad the 99% chances of violence of every rule the same situation would be
created of Namos e Rislat and now the attack would be opposite police attached
the peoples directly and peoples violated the everything without any hesitation
at this expected situation army will step in and come to media with these
words we were enforced. If we would not handle this situation
